As I begin looking at your guys responses on the Jirga system and justice in Pakistan, I think it's also worth considering how America - the so-called land of the free home of the brave - has instituted a two-tiered system of justice. This two-tiered system penalizes the indigent and lower classes while immunizing political and corporate elites. Glenn Greenwald, a former constitutional lawyer and now full-time journalist, wrote a book on this issue a few years back. Here is a piece of his that does a good job of highlighting this disconnect.
