Internal Democratization of Economic Institutions

Democracy is defined as a system of welfare and redistribution in order to narrow the social inequalities. One of the main hierarchical and discriminated environments exists at the working places. These are the places which define the people in their essence and many people are arguing for bringing the democratic system in the economic work places in order to look after the interests of every individual working. Including the interest of majority in decision making is one of the core values of democratic societies, by bringing democratic system in the economic work sites would give the workers to improve their living standards and would improve the working condition. It would create a greater incentive to stand together in trade unions and defend their rights. Profit sharing incentives would give all the workers better motivation to work for the progress of the company. With all of the good aspects of legitimizing democracy in work places, it would bring many difficulties with it, removing of the inefficient workers would get more harder as all other workers would be standing together to save the interests of every member of their working family. Introducing democracy in any society which is as small as an office has its setbacks but its benefits over-weighs them. Thus introducing democracy in the work places would not be the worst solution to eradicate the discrimination in the work places.
