Political ideology is a set of beliefs, ideals and principles which are followed by political parties in form of political action or an election program. Every political party has it's own set of ideology which it implements in it's own identified manner.
Political ideology is a set of ideas which helps the respective party to draw a line and follow that path. There are two dimensions of political ideology. One of them are goals which a party wants to achieve, for example, PML (N) has a goal to increase it's vote bank and target a larger portion of the country. The second dimension is the method. - How will PML (N) achieve these goals? The party targets the population by promising them to resolve their issues, such as increased prices of commodities, petrol, oil, gas, shortage of electricity etc through an election campaign. This triggers the public to vote for them after their promising actions.
Political ideology helps to classify as to what should be done and how it should it done. There is no one head set rule for it, every political party forms it's ideology according to it's own set of objectives and motives which varies from party to party.
