In Pakistan however, the bureaucratic system is subject to substantial critique regarding nepotism, corruption and inefficiency persisting in the process. The erosion of professionalism in public services sector was led by direct involvement of civil servants with the politicians, the elite and the military and fulfillment of their interests.
Influential bodies such as politicians and military leaders have obliterated the bureaucratic system by converting it into a system consisting of self-serving individuals rather than an institution defined by clear hierarchical rule, professionalism and accountability.
Now the question is that can this damaged system be repaired? Reformation of the bureaucratic system is possible with the restoration of public service rules, reorganized system of accountability, provision of security to public officials, protection of their tenure and presence of an effective and authoritative leader as the system itself is not flawed but the fault lies in its implementation.

I totally agree reformation of the bureaucratic system is very important for Pakistan to flourish and grow.
The problem with our state is that there are too many flaws within the system. Unless and until these problems are fixed, our bureaucracies or other state tools will remain corrupt. It is easy to highlight the problems but no one seems to have a solution as to how to overcome these problems.
