Feminism and Pakistan.

The belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities is called feminism. it is an organized activity in support of women's rights and interests. women have been working for many years to avail equal rights as men or at least to be independent enough to fight for their own rights.
In reality every welfare organization work for the betterment of men, as they are considered superior to women. In Pakistan where women have been depressed by men and they are not given their rights there is need of organizations that will work for the rights of women. the existing systems and society support men and women are always taken as inferior part of society.
Feminists doesn't only support women rather they work for the betterment of whole society. its just because of feminism that women have right to vote.Lily Maxwell was the first woman to vote in Britain in 1867 after the Great Reform Act of 1832.
In Pakistan social workers like Asma jhangir work for the betterment of women , she is running a large organisation and she is a famous feminist. We need such women leaders so that they could support women , educate them and make them to stand on their own feet. I think education is the most important thing, that will enable the women to fight for their rights.

I beg to differ with your claim when you say that every welfare organization is working for the betterment of man.i think the word should be humanity instead of man . Just to quote an instance of such welfare organization is Edhi foundation which have been serving the people for long on every instance of life whom are from every cast and gender. The picture is grim regarding how women are treated in certain parts of the country but we have very powerful women like Benazir Bhutto the first lady prime minister , Fehmida Mirza the speaker of national assembly and many more that have represented women on international level and this shows that the active participation of females in country policy making and we are slowly progressing towards the equality of genders.

Th efemale representation of political forums is limited to a mere 21% internationally, and that too takes into account majority of so called "liberal" societies. What you've quoted are just the few rare occurrences in our society. The common truth is that women need rights and the very fact that they are deprived of them is why most NGOs in developed countries are struggling to prevent female torture and are trying to support them in their endeavors for equal rights only BECAUSE the state of Women here is so terrible.

Feminism in no way say that men should be denied their rights, it just stands for women getting equal opportunities and not being oppressed.
