Marxism talks about how in history the man has struggle
for material needs and his development is contingent upon materialism. The whole
history of a nation can be divided into 5 stages .First we have natural
communism where man lived in state of nature. Second we have Human epoch where
there were slaves which were main resources of their owners. Thirdly we had
Agricultural period where there were landlords and peasants. Now we have
industrialization where there are factory owners and their labors. The fifth
stage would be communism or socialism revolution where the proletariat who were
constantly throughout the history exploited whether they were slaves, peasants etc.
will revolt and hence take over the means and resources. The fifth stage has
never been realized in its true sense in any country.
Now although
Communism is parallel to the capitalism but both of these theories recognize
the class system that throughout human history has been there. This deep divide
that we have created through our way of distributing financial resources is a
problem. Now some types of capitalism like social capitalism calls for actions
that will work for labor class. One way of doing this is high taxation rates on
the earning class of the society. We have this kind of system developed in the Norwegian
countries .It has its benefits and helps in ensuring basic necessities for the
under privileged. Collective capitalism advocates steps for workers and their
bosses or in terms of communism bourgeoisie and proletariat to cooperate with
each other. In this system there is a demand for struggle that will bridge the
gap between two.
Although total radical change of the society may not be achievable
but there is a need to form a system where there can be equal redistribution of
resources in the society. We live in the world where rich is getting richer and
poor becomes poorer with time. We have one sect of society where the
fundamental necessities of life are hardly available and other are having
lavish life styles with surplus of luxuries. These differences are making the
innocent law abiding citizens become criminals because of unjust allocation of
resources among citizens of one same country.
