Make up post: Political Ideologies

A self-governed state is known as an anarchist state. A self-governed state is a self-destructive state. This means that absolute freedom and absolute liberty is harmful to the people themselves. Is it not ironic how words such as freedom and liberty could be associated with self destructive and harmful? That is what I’ve come to learn throughout the time spent in discussion of political science in class. There is a spectrum to everything in political science. Too much freedom and too much liberty are bad. Too much power is bad. Too little freedom and too much liberty are bad. Too little power is also bad. That is where I feel democracy best attempts to fit in the middle of the political spectrum since the rest of the political ideologies entail in their features too much power in the hands of a few and or too much freedom and liberty. By process of elimination one can come to the conclusion that democracy is not the best form of government but indeed it is the only form of a political ideology that attempts to balance the wrongs that entail every other form of political ideologies.
