Communism and Capitalism are those big ideologies that we
infer towards when we characterize the states that we live in. Though in the 21st
century, there is no option left for us but to characterize almost all of the
states as capitalist states. This brings me to the question that in a world
where there is freedom of speech and the prevalence of free market economic
concepts, how have people agreed upon only capitalism?
If we make an observation over the speeches of our famous
personalities, the one thing common in them is that they always make use of
some common basic principles and emotions in order to grab attention. No matter
what they believe personally, their speeches are filled with concepts of
equality, rationality, pluralism, and any other ism that fits. These principles
help them make themselves credible in front of the public. Coming to my basic
point, in the 20th and 21st centuries, they persuaded
people to accept capitalism because it was also a form of state which supported
equality. Again, the concept of equality was used for manipulation because people strictly oppose inequality.
In reality though, it’s the other way round.
Communism is more inclined towards equality.
It’s a pity claiming that the capitalist systems that we live in have
failed to address the problem of inequality.
Thanks to our media that they show us images of those unlucky people who
lack even the basic necessities of life. We see children in Africa dying of
diseases. We see the poor Afghan’s, Palestinian’s, and so many other people who
have been treated unequally, rather brutally, due to the fact that they have been a prey of capitalist states who do not care about equality and harmony at all. Studying the atrocities of capitalist states, we need to
either improve its structure by drilling the concept of equality in its
functioning. Or we need to go back to 1992 and reverse the decision of USSR.

It is true that equality is used as an oxymoron in the context of capitalism, yet what is the alternative? A failed theory that corrupts those that end up applying it? Capitalism is an evil but communism is worse and its only result ends up in totalitarianism and that is a clear tyranny. The system of capitalism must be reconstructed to ameliorate the ideology such that all grave and selfish traits of the money making and societal impact neglecting capitalist monster are corrected.
I agree with Wamidh. The United States started its venture to promote capitalism as a form of economic and political system that not only promoted individualism and the principles of free market but most importantly supported 'equality'. The breakup of USSR and the fall of communism recognized capitalism as the most ideal form of political and economic system. However, the practice of capitalism in most parts of the world has uncovered rather unpleasant and disagreeable truths regarding capitalism. Under the cloak of capitalism and equality we have examples of states which are more focused on accumulating the world resources and wealth.
