When I enrolled in Pol-100 i thought we'll be learning about different forms of governments in this course through out this semester and nothing more than that. And like all other courses at LUMS it won't be able to make a lot of difference in our opinions during such a short time span of almost three and a half months.
But it was more than just another 100 level course. The way we studied different concepts such as power in so much detail and all those in-class activities had a great impact on us. The way everything in class was related to our real life specially the concept of anarchy in class and among different groups in a democratic system. The concept of a leviathan, the environmentalists, the feminists, the consensus among different states in IR, everything was discussed in such an appropriate manner that helped a lot in changing our opinions on different issues.
The way these blog post used to make us reflect on different issues regarding IR was just amazing. I was not interested in political science at all before taking this course. But this class has changed the way i looked at this subject and different concepts related to governments. I can never forget this great experience.
