Session 21: Women in International Relations

           This reading also reveals, that many women of the world feel like women in general have a lower standing in politics than they deserve. These women are the liberal feminists and it's interesting to note that their argument is that women possess the same capabilities as men. Where realism was focused on the military, here too, the strengthening of the military is crucial. Women are however considered natural additions to it.
         
            Furthermore, important is the fact that since the concept of liberalism is being stressed here, because the 'liberal feminists' are talking, their belief in cooperation and a more peaceful manner of carrying out affairs is stronger than that which a realist could ever possess. It is in this manner that these views shown by the liberal feminists, that women may bring qualities that will conflict with the roles performed by military, that are so different and important.
