I agree with Ahmed. Gender inequaliy is prevalent in many parts of the world. However, in Pakistan, Zia-ul-Haq's regime contributed to a great extent in discrediting the position of women in a way that all the developments made in the last few decades regarding their rights and position in the society were completely shattered and they were pushed back to the dark agaes where they were prohibited from education and from going to work places.
