The Marxist ideology seeks to understand the world in the
division of two classes; the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The bourgeoisie
have control over the resources and the proletariat is the wage workers.
The human race’s basic need for survival manifests itself in the need of food and shelter. The bourgeoisie has the means to create all these but requires workers. The proletariat, in order to get access to these things, works as wage workers for the bourgeoisie. On the surface level, it seems like a mutually beneficial system but in reality, it is class politics, with the bourgeoisie exploiting the proletariat. The bourgeoisie has access to economic resources and uses that wealth to dominate over the proletariat.
This can be reconciled with the case of Pakistan within the workings of the elite class. The Power Elite of Pakistan includes the bourgeoisie under the big corporations. These people have hold over economic wealth and are in positions in the society that can influence public policy. Thus we see that the bourgeoisie are indeed in a dominant position in the society and can work to advance their own interest on the cost of workers, namely the proletariat.

I believe that there are not only just two distinctions. Because of globalization, distances have shortened and there is high level of interaction around the world. Because of this new classes emerge, for instance a new bourgeoisie that can exploit our indigenous bourgeoisie namely foreign governments or corporations.
I agree that this has been the case in Pakistan, specially so because Pakistani politics tend to be dominated by right-wing political parties including the likes of PTI and PML-N. Although some efforts for an equal distribution of wealth along liberal/marxist lines were made by the PPP and Z.A Bhutto, the power of the business class is so enormous that the policies in practice had little effect.
