Party politics in Pakistan are conducted in a very disorganized and hostile manner. For this reason, I strongly believe that Pakistan is not ready for a system of governance in which parties are involved.
In our country there seems to be constant tension between the various parties and the competition for the emergence of one dominant party in the government is always fierce. Parties use unfair and biased means to gain power such as rigging elections and exploiting members of the general public, especially the lower class. Their techniques extend far beyond propaganda; at times even to violence. In many cases parties hold supreme power and may not be checked or curbed by the government. This allows them to sometimes verge on criminal activity to get their votes, which is a clear abuse of party power.
Since the party system is responsible for a lot of the ensuing chaos in Pakistan, they need to be effectively regulated and controlled. With the current state of Pakistan's security forces, this will not be possible and hence the existence of parties is not feasible.

So one can easily infer that there is no hope left for Pakistan that it can be saved nor it will ever try to save itself through democracy which in times is the best way to solve the matter.
Replacing of the current system of party politics would not resolve the issue of rigging and exploitation. As we have already seen, individual candidates do use unfair means to come to power. Furthermore the party system does not have an important role to play and the leaders are elected on the basis of tribal and religious support but we still see people being exploited.
Since you assert that the party system is redundant, what alternative do you then propose for conducting the electoral process as well as leader selection and recruitment? Unless a viable alternative is developed, dismantling the party system will only need to further inefficiency and corruption in the electoral process instead of cleaning it.
Saying that the party system is redundant and Pakistan is not ready to handle such a system is not the solution to existing problems in Pakistan, need of the hour is to introduce a well managed system which monitors the party system.
The alternative to having political parties is authoritarian rule in the form of martial law. It has been quite accrately concluded that previous martial laws have done more harm than good to Pakistan. Each successive martial law has set us back by several years, we must therefore put faith in the political parties because the alternative is neither acceptable or preferable by the majority.
