Political cultures are developed by social politicization;
it is a process through which individuals appropriate their political beliefs
and values. These values and beliefs are acquired through social interaction
and experience.
The extent to which you are involved in political socialization
depends and can influence your participation in bringing about change or not. As
an example Pakistan has a very cleaver system going on. The 'ruling elite' have
trapped the citizens in a system which can be very hard to get out from. The people
are engrossed in small things that they fail to view the bigger picture and
fight for freedom and liberty in the true sense. There is no gas, electricity,
water, petrol in many parts of the country and on top of that load shedding.
The basic necessities are not available and people are putting all their effort
to make ends meet. The man would stress over ironing his clothes when the light
comes rather than thinking about why is he in this situation.
Lack of academic education is a very dangerous and unfair
consequence. The farmer would employ his children on his farms rather than send
them to school. The children will do the same with their children and it goes
on till today and vows to exist for a long time.
you are right when you say that people of Pakistan are so engrossed in their problems that they have no time to reflect on factors that brought them in this situation specially the lower strata. Education at every level plays a very important role in creating awareness among the people.
