People's political ideas and beliefs are shaped in many different ways. In a society, there are many factors that influence the political culture. These factors differ for different people, sects, and social classes. In my opinion, a person's immediate group of friends and family are the biggest influencing factor to their political opinions. These are the people one interacts with the most and the way they think unconsciously, gradually and automatically changes or moulds one's beliefs. In this way media also has a huge role to play. In today's world where technology is so advanced and easily accessible to everyone, media propaganda plays a large part in shaping people's opinions. All these factors combined help shape the overall political culture of a country. The political culture of a country plays a major role in its smooth running. Hence, the government cannot ignore popular political opinion in the state.

Definitely, in this era only one factor can not influence our thinking and our behavior, similarly, our political belief. However, i think it is only true for societies like ours which are more educated and aware. For instance, in the rural areas of Pakistan, people's sense of politics is underdeveloped, they do not know what a national interest is or on what basis should they vote. They simply vote for their feudal lords because their 'family' has been doing so for many years. In this case I guess family plays an important role in developing their political views.
