Seesion 6 : Importance of constitution.

A constitution is a basic set of laws of a state which shape how that state will be organized by deciding the power and authorities of the governments between different  political units. Moreover, it is the primary contract by which government of a state is set out. The significance of a constitution cannot be undermined for various reasons.

The constitution of a state does not only define the power allocated, but it also significantly makes a clear demarcation of the responsibilities assigned. It effectively regulates the relationship between the government and its people. Since the country’s constitution stands superior to all the laws framed within the territorial precincts of the country, any law enacted by the ruling government has to be in conformity with the concerned constitution. Besides asserting on the rights of the citizens of the concerned nation, also has embedded in it the duties that the citizens require to adhere to as well.

So the significance of the constitution cannot be compromised, as it is what outlines the rights of the citizen.

I agree with Haider's point of view. I also believe that in addition to providing a specific structure and scheme within which the government entities function, a constitution also binds the state, the government and the citizens in a contract which contributes in maintaining stability as all the bodies and organisations work within a given boundary.
