Session 10: The Emerging Leader

“A genuine leader is not a searcher of consensus but a molder of consensus.”
– Martin Luther King Jr.
Many definitions of leadership are available, but a leader is the one who leads his/her team to success from behind the scene, be it a CEO of a company or a first year employee or a political figure.
Pakistan in its history has seen many great leaders, the line of these great leaders started from Quaid who not only brought the Muslim community in subcontinent together but also did what was impossible; built a new nation in a pure land of Pakistan, where the ideology of Islam could be practiced freely. The leaders continued to come and go, and the history kept changing but today when we as a nation are facing crisis like war on terror, poverty, hunger, target killing and many other vices which a man can imagine, in this hour of difficulty many people have found a new leader in the face of Imran Khan. Imran Khan who has shown a transformational leadership, has awakened the nation to stand up for their rights. He has brought a vision and an ideology with him and has brought youth of the nation out, debating on the current situations in their country. Imran Khan is seen as an inspiration by many but the need of the hour is not only inspiration but pragmatic solution to all the above mentioned problems so Pakistan can move forward on the road of development and the basic crisis a common man faces today are reduced. Today, Pakistan wants to see a real hero, a real leader who is ready to take his nation together and do what is impossible and bring prosperity in the country and we shall see it soon.
